Bangkok – Khao Lak 

 

Eighteen months ago, we had a memorable trip to Thailand. Since then, Thailand’s been beckoning us, please join us in September to find out why!! 

 

Flying with Qatar Airways, the experience starts on the plane with meals and drinks included. 

If you’ve travelled with us before you’ll know we love authenticity, so keeping that in mind, this is what this trip will offer - starting with 3 night’s stay in the Mode Sathorn Hotel in the Bright Lights, Big City of Sathorn, Bangkok. 

During this pit stop we’ll take a trip on the BTS Sky Train to enjoy the fabulous views of the metropolis. Later, let’s treat ourselves to an evening cocktail at the Banyan Tree, a high-rise bar, while taking in the amazing night-time views. We can’t leave Bangkok without a trip on a Long Boat to visit the fascinating Damnoen Saduak and Maelong Markets. 

 

Waving good bye to Bangkok, we journey south with Qatar Airways to Khao Lak in the Phang Nga province staying in the Merlin Resort. Tropical, hilly and mountainous, Khao Lak has far less tourists and largely remains unspoilt with its abundance of natural lush green habitat. Whilst here we’ll have time to take a must do trip west to the populous City of Phuket, with its ‘anything goes attitude” the difference in the day and night culture is to be experienced.
